1. Introduction
Konnect International Limited ("Konnect International," "we," "us," or "our") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your personal data when you use the Kyniskis Band, the Kyniskis mobile application, our website at konnectlabai.com, and related services (the "Services").
This policy is drafted in compliance with the Personal Data (Privacy) Ordinance (Cap. 486) of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region ("PDPO"). If you have questions about your rights under the PDPO, you may also contact the PCPD (www.pcpd.org.hk).
2. What We Collect
We collect the following categories of data to provide and improve the Services:

3. How We Collect Your Data
Directly From You
When you create an account, complete your profile, contact support, or participate in surveys and research programs.
From the Kyniskis Band
The device continuously measures physiological signals from your body. This data is transmitted to your phone via Bluetooth and synced to our servers to generate insights.
Automatically
We collect certain data automatically when you interact with the Services, including through cookies and similar technologies (see Section 10).
From Third-Party Integrations
If you choose to connect third-party services (such as Apple Health, Google Fit, or other fitness platforms), we receive data based on the permissions you grant.
4. How We Use Your Data
We use your data for the following purposes:
- Service Delivery: To operate the Services, generate personalized insights, and provide coaching recommendations.
- Research & Development: To improve our algorithms, develop new features, and conduct scientific research — using de-identified, aggregated data.
- Communication: To send service updates, membership information, and support responses.
- Marketing (With Consent): To send promotional content about Kyniskis products and features. You may opt out at any time.
- Legal Compliance: To comply with applicable laws, regulations, and legal processes.
5. Data Sharing
We are clear about who we share your data with — and who we don't.
We May Share With:
- Service Providers: Cloud hosting, analytics, payment processing, and customer support vendors who help us operate the Services. They are contractually bound to protect your data.
- With Your Consent: If you direct us to share data with a third party (e.g., a healthcare provider, coach, or integrated app).
- Legal Reasons: When required by law, court order, or to protect our rights and the safety of our users.
- Business Transfers: In the event of a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, your data may be transferred — with prior notice to you.
We NEVER:
- Sell your personal data to third parties
- Sell your health or wellness data
- Share identifiable health data with advertisers or data brokers
6. Data Security
We implement commercially reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your data, including encryption in transit (TLS) and at rest (AES-256), access controls, and regular security audits. However, no method of electronic storage or transmission is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security.
By default, your wellness data is stored locally on your device and synced to our secure cloud infrastructure. You retain control over your data at all times.
7. Data Retention
We retain your personal data for as long as your account remains active or as needed to provide the Services. If you delete your account, we will delete or de-identify your personal data within 60 days, except where we are required to retain it for legal or regulatory purposes.
Aggregated, de-identified data (which cannot be linked back to you) may be retained indefinitely for research and development.
8. Your Rights
Under the Hong Kong PDPO and our own principles, you have the following rights:
- Access: You may request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
- Correction: You may request correction of inaccurate or incomplete data.
- Deletion: You may delete your account and associated data at any time through the Kyniskis App or by contacting us.
- Data Portability: You may export your wellness data in a standard, machine-readable format through the app.
- Withdraw Consent: You may withdraw consent for processing where consent is the legal basis.

9. Children's Privacy
The Services are not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13. If we become aware that a child under 13 has provided us with personal data, we will delete it promptly. If you believe a child under 13 has provided us with data, please contact us.
For users between 13 and 18, we require verifiable parental consent before collecting wellness data.
10. Cookies & Tracking Technologies
Our website uses cookies and similar technologies to remember your preferences, analyze site traffic, and improve your experience. We use both session cookies (which expire when you close your browser) and persistent cookies (which remain until deleted).
You can control cookie preferences through your browser settings. Note that disabling cookies may affect website functionality.
11. International Data Transfers
As a Hong Kong-based company, your data is primarily stored and processed in Hong Kong SAR. If we transfer data to service providers in other jurisdictions, we ensure adequate safeguards are in place through contractual clauses or other mechanisms that provide a comparable level of protection as required under the PDPO.
12. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via email and/or through the Kyniskis App. The "Last Updated" date at the top of this page indicates when the policy was last revised.
